About Home Farm Accommodation

Holiday lets special offer Cheddar

Self-Contained & Safe Holiday Lets

Steve and Kath’s Home Farm is an idyllic smallholding nestled in 12 acres below the Mendip hills, with views looking across the fields to Glastonbury Tor. It is located 5 minutes from Cheddar Gorge and near many great places to visit and play, such as the historic city of Wells and Beaches of North Somerset.

With Covid-19 in mind choosing the right accommodation is very important for some guests. All our holiday lets are self-contained with little or no interaction with other guests while staying on our farm.

On the farm there is plenty of space for you to relax and enjoy your stay. There is always plenty going on such as feeding the animals, looking after lambs or grooming Fred our Pony.

Walking & Rambling

With over 60 miles of rambling and walking available on our step in the Mindip Hills, Home Farm Cheddar offers ideal self-catering accommodation for those looking for an outdoor activity break.

Covid 19

For all of us 2020 has been a strange year and left us all uncertain with whats going on. We have decided to make a bold hopeful prediction and take bookings for stays starting from 5th July. We take the safety of our guests and family seriously and will adhere to all relevant best practices with regard to Covid 19. We do believe that, with the space on the farm, we are Ideally set up to allow our guests to enjoy themselves whilst minimising the risks to their health from this dreadful virus.

During your stay we will maintain social distancing rules, which means that with regret we won't be able to allow children to hold farm animals etc.

Holiday lets in Cheddar attractions

Somerset’s Levels and Moors are a haven for Wonderful Wildlife and is a short drive from our farm. At the heart of the area lies the Avalon Marshes and its nationally important nature reserves. In the last 50 years wildlife has thrived as abandoned peat workings have been transformed and restored to lush wetlands, many of which are now designated as National Nature Reserves.

About Our Farm

Our lovely farm is set on 12 acres with views over the Mendips and towards Glastonbury Tor. Our plan is to develop a small number of holiday accommodation that will sit alongside our farm and allow us to become as self sufficient as possible.

We always have a lot going on our farm: Fred, our horse needs grooming, the pigs need feeding and the eggs picking up from the ducks and hens. If you pick the right time of year we have lots of lambs around.

There is plenty of space for family and visitors alike to relax and explore.
